Initial goal

A beautiful family photo frame without copying files around.

How it was orchestrated

Python http.server + PIL resize on a Raspberry Pi that mounts the NAS over NFS; web slideshow PWA on Fire tablets; resizes over 150KB to max 2048px with a cache; crossfade and Ken Burns.

Outcome

Running: around 38k photos served pass-through from the NAS on two Fire HD tablets.
